The church dates back to the 15th century and is composed of a square chancel and a nave formed by two slightly rectangular aisles. The church is listed as a National Historic Monument.
You will fall under the charm of this lovely church. Don’t miss having a look inside to see in particular, the altarpiece donated by Anne of Austria, the listed reredos and a statue of Christ sitting.
Saint Pierre church proudly stands in the heart of the village of Vic sur Cère. Destroyed, rebuiIt, enlarged and renovated, the church has undergone many transformations over the years making a visit extremely interesting. Don’t hesitate to venture inside!
This is most probably the oldest church in the Carladès area and was originally built in the 10th century. It was sadly destoyed more than once and so the church has been rebuilt several times.
This church is particularly famous for its 17th century porch that is listed as a National Historic Monument. The chancel and bell tower date back to the 18th century and the church is well worth a visit.
The first mention of this church goes back to 1266. It became part of the parish of Murat in 1598. It is partly Romanesque and partly Gothic in style and the church portal is quite ornate.
This chapel is built on top of the Ronesque rock table overlooking the valley of the River Goul and the Carladès area. The view from here is absolutely breathtaking!
Don’t miss coming to admire this lovely house in Vic sur Cère. It is tucked away in the heart of the historic centre of the town and represents the close ties between the Carladès area and the Prinicipality of Monaco.
If you are in the vicinity of La Prade, stop off to admire this lovely building. It is not sure what it was originally built for, but it is thought to have been used as a pigeon/dove cot.
The natural mineral water spring in Vic sur Cère was well known and the spring was a port of call as far back as the Celtic and Gallo-roman periods. Just as visitors taking the waters would have done at the end of the 19th century, come along, taste the water and enjoy this lovely spot.
