Perhaps you’d like to enjoy our area in wintertime without skiing. No problem! Whether you’re looking for a change or skiing simply just isn’t your scene, here’s the chance to get out and enjoy some magical countryside and a magical atmosphere.
Wintertime and walking go hand in hand here! The footpaths are frozen so you will of course need to have the right warm clothing and footwear. However, kitted out to brave the cold, and ready for a bit of a climb, the view, particularly as you get up high, will make the effort all worth it. Still, frosty landscapes lie below, as if time has stopped and the views are breath-taking. A timeless moment for a discovery of the Massif Cantalien with a difference!
Come along to the Tourist Information Office and use our touchscreen table to preview the routes as if you were there! And if you prefer to set out hiking straight off, you can also find our marked-out walking trails on the Cirkwi App: download them for free on your smartphone!
Our special Tourist Information Office tip:
You have a choice of three options to discover the Puy Griou: a full day’s walk leaving from the village of St Jacques des Blats ; a shorter, easier walk leaving from the little hamlet of Les Chazes, or via the Col de Font de Cère for a completely different experience and viewpoint!
