Vialard watermill

Description

The watermill has been renovated and it’s a lovely place to come for a quiet stroll along the River Cère, enjoy the ducks and relax.

Vialard watermill is along a little stretch of diverted water running off the River Cère. There were once four watermills around Vic sur Cère. When in working order, the water wheel would have driven the shaft and mechanisms to drive three millstones for grinding grain, a millstone to produce walnut oil, and also to card and stain wool. Keen to protect this site and pay tribute to this heritage, work was carried out here by the Town Hall. Follow the footpaths running along the River Cère and enjoy a visit to this lovely spot.
