The Pigeonnier de la Prade (pigeon/dove cot)

Description

If you are in the vicinity of La Prade, stop off to admire this lovely building. It is not sure what it was originally built for, but it is thought to have been used as a pigeon/dove cot.

The Prade farm building is listed as a protected National Historic Monument. The pigeon/dovecot is a beautiful and rare example of a 15th century building that could have been at that time, a store place for wheat or a pigeon/dove cot. Even though its real use is unknown, it is known as the Pigeonnier de la Prade.
